Medical & Public Health Microbiology

Research on bacterial pathogens of humans, zoonotic bacterial agents including Salmonella, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus, Brucella, Pseudomonas, Escherichia, and viral zoonotic agents.

Molecular Epidemiology

Molecular epidemiology and pathogenesis of diseases, with special attention to AMR surveillance, evaluation, and monitoring in animal and human diseases.

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

Interdisciplinary research from One Health perspective, particularly on W.H.O. priority 1 ESKAPE pathogens (Enterococcus, Staphylococcus, Klebsiella, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas, Enterobacter).

One Health Perspective

Application of molecular biology approaches to bacterial pathogens that lead to serious complications and death with a high tendency to spread to environmental and animal settings.
